Check Wilkinson Court Calendar

Start with the court named on your paperwork when you need a Wilkinson County court calendar. The clerk of that court holds the setting and can confirm it. A Wilkinson County court calendar shows what is scheduled: calls, hearings, pleas, motions, and trials across the courts serving the county. It is not the docket and not a final order. Dates move often. Resets, continuances, cancellations, and later directions from the court can all change a listed hearing, so trust the newest published setting and verify it with the clerk before you rely on it.

The Wilkinson County Court Calendar

The Superior/Juvenile clerk’s calendar index posts Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit calendars along with separate Wilkinson County PDFs. Expect circuit calendars, a criminal motion day, a civil trial calendar, and a criminal plea calendar. Every PDF carries its own date. Treat none of them as a standing weekly schedule for the county.

The Eighth District states the controlling rule plainly. Circuit calendars are a general guide only. You must verify the date and time with the clerk of the county involved. County and circuit sites sometimes carry separate copies. Confirm the court, judge, setting type, date, time, location, and any remote instructions before you appear.

Reading Wilkinson Calendar PDFs

A Wilkinson County calendar PDF names the court or county, the judge, and the date. Each case number and caption appears there too. It also gives page or item order plus the setting type. Some civil materials add a status category. Party names show up in the live PDFs, but you do not need them to follow the structure.

PDF typeWhat it schedulesWhat it cannot prove
Motion dayCriminal motions set for callThat a motion was granted or denied
Plea calendarCriminal plea settingsThat a plea was entered or accepted
Civil trial calendarCases placed for trial or callThat trial occurred or judgment entered
Case-status calendarReadiness and case-management callThat the case ended

The calendar tells you when an event is set. Turn to the docket and the signed order to learn what actually happened.

How to Find Your Court Date

Begin at the clerk’s calendar index or the county Case Search. Case Search can return an access error, so keep a fallback ready. For civil questions call 478-946-4312. Criminal and juvenile questions go to 478-946-4313, and the main Superior clerk is 478-946-4314. The public counter sits at 100 Bacon Street. An older missing setting may resurface. Ask the clerk in writing.

  1. Read the court name and case or citation number from the newest paper.
  2. Open the clerk calendar index and select the newest relevant PDF.
  3. Try Case Search, if available, and compare the next setting.
  4. Call the civil, criminal, or Probate/Magistrate clerk to verify.
  5. Check courthouse postings or ask whether a public terminal is active.
  6. Confirm with counsel when represented and keep the newest court notice.

County traffic belongs to Probate/Magistrate at 478-946-2222. The citation channel may also help. A city citation goes back to the clerk of the city that issued it. Federal dates live in the Middle District of Georgia and PACER. Nothing merges these into one statewide calendar.

Wilkinson Ocmulgee Circuit Calendar

Wilkinson County sits in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. Chief Judge Alison T. Burleson leads the bench. Judges Brenda H. Trammell, Amanda S. Petty, Terry N. Massey, and Stephen A. Bradley also serve. Chambers sit in other circuit counties. A Wilkinson calendar may name a judge whose office is elsewhere.

The official Ocmulgee Circuit page offers routes to judges, standing orders, forms, and calendars. Its warning is the heart of using the Wilkinson County court calendar well. Verify dates with the county clerk.

Knowing the judge helps you match the right PDF. It cannot replace the caption, the action number, or confirmation from the clerk.

Reading a Court Setting

Read a setting as a set of fields, not just a date. Several courts may share one building, and one PDF can hold many cases. Page and item numbers help the clerk or the judge’s staff pull up the entry fast.

DateThe scheduled calendar date; verify that the PDF is the newest version.
TimeThe calendar-call or appearance time, which may differ from later case order.
CourtroomThe room, building, jail courtroom, or remote method stated in current notice.
JudgeThe judicial officer assigned to that calendar, subject to later court direction.
Setting typeMotion, plea, status, trial, first appearance, arraignment, or another event.
Page and itemThe case’s place within a PDF or call list.

When any field clashes with a newer notice, call the clerk. Never pick the older date just because it is easier to find online.

Wilkinson Civil Status Calendar

Judge Petty’s March 26, 2026 civil status materials offer a detailed local example. The notice called a 3:00 p.m. calendar. Cases were sorted as Ready for Trial, Ready Non-Jury, or Not Ready. Counsel and self-represented parties had to appear or send a written announcement. The announcement needed the case’s page and item. It also had to be e-filed with the clerk.

Skip the announcement and the appearance, the notice warned. The court could mark the case Ready or dismiss it without prejudice. Zoom instructions were included. Those details bind that dated calendar only, not every future civil setting. The lasting lesson is procedural. Read the cover letter with the list, and follow the current appearance instructions. Never read "Ready" as a result.

Calendar fact: Ready for Trial describes the posture announced for a setting. It does not mean a trial or judgment occurred.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

A continuance or reset moves a setting. It does not erase the earlier calendar entry or dismiss the case. A later date may show the shift. So may a "Not Ready" announcement, an amended PDF, or a court order. The online calendar can lag behind the court’s live record.

Compare the newest notice with the docket. Then call the right division. Ask whether the date, time, courtroom, judge, and appearance method still stand. If the public Case Search is blocked, the clerk’s calendar plus direct confirmation becomes the main route. Keep a copy of any written reset or continuance order.

Note: A case dropping from one Wilkinson County calendar does not prove cancellation, dismissal, settlement, or a final disposition.

Wilkinson Court Setting Terms

Local calendar labels explain why a case sits on a list. Read them as events, not outcomes. That distinction matters whether you follow a public case or your own hearing.

Calendar call
A session used to call cases and learn readiness or scheduling status.
Motion day
A criminal setting for motions.
Plea calendar
A list of criminal cases set for a possible plea proceeding.
Trial calendar
Cases assigned for trial or trial call.
Reset
A moved setting that should be confirmed from the newest record.

Final outcomes live in the docket and signed orders. A calendar is just one of three layers: the setting list, the chronological docket, and the filed order.

What To Do If You Miss a Setting

Contact the proper clerk and your counsel right away. Give the court, the case or citation number, the missed date, and the setting type. Ask about a new date. Ask whether the court entered a warrant, bond issue, dismissal, or other order. An online PDF will not show the current required response.

Missed a setting? A missed criminal or traffic date may lead to a failure-to-appear response, bench warrant, or bond consequence, depending on the case and order.

Call the proper Wilkinson County clerk immediately and obtain the latest docket and instructions.

Legal advice from a Georgia attorney may be important before appearing after a missed date.

Superior civil and Superior criminal settings each run through their own division, so match yours before calling. County traffic and Magistrate matters go to 478-946-2222, while a city citation stays with the issuing city's current court contact.

Wilkinson Magistrate Hearing Times

The Magistrate scheduling page sets First Appearance and Bond for 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The courtroom is at the Wilkinson County Jail. Emergency warrant coverage runs every day. Weekend or holiday proceedings get scheduled only when the court needs them.

Arresting officers usually book warrant and bond proceedings within 48 hours. That timing is a general practice. It is not a guarantee for any one case. And none of this is the Superior Court trial calendar. To check a Wilkinson County hearing, call the Jail at 478-946-7411. The Probate/Magistrate line is 478-946-2222. County ordinance and traffic matters follow their own separate settings.

Note: Shared county geography does not merge Superior, Magistrate, traffic, municipal, juvenile, and federal calendars into one list.
